Curtain Headings

Not sure which curtain heading to choose?

Here are our five most popular to help you out.

No matter which heading you choose, the majority of our curtains are hand sewn and tailor made to fit your windows.

Pencil Pleat

Pencil pleat is a very versatile heading that is suitable for all spaces.

They are the most popular and cost effective heading.  Don't let that put you off, pencil pleat curtains look stunning! Sewn onto the curtains with heading tape, they are pulled with strings to reach your desired amount of gather.

When you think of a pair of curtains, pencil pleat is the most likely heading that springs to mind.

Cottage Style

Cottage style headings are identical to pencil pleat. They differ as the heading tape is set down several centimeters from the top of the curtain to create a very pretty ruffled gather, hence the name cottage style.

We can adjust the heading to make the ruffled effect as big or small as you would like.

Floppy Top

Yes you read correctly, floppy top heading!

It is a combination of the above two headings which creates a floppy "top" on the curtain.

The heading tape is set down from the top of the curtain, much like the cottage style however, it is much further down creating a large ruffle on the top of the curtains that flops over. Sewn using a combination of machine and hand sewing, this heading looks beautiful when using a contrast lining which can then be seen from the front of the curtain.

Double Pinch Pleats

The double pinch pleat heading is ideal for sitting rooms and other formal spaces. Hand sewn to the specific size of your window adding a feeling of luxury to any space.

Double pinch pleat headings are compatible with both very large and small curtains and have the added benefit of stacking back very neatly when pulled.

If you have a small area where your curtains will sit when pulled, double pinch pleats are the heading for you!

Triple Pinch Pleats

Triple pinch pleats are identical to double pleats with the addition of another fold per pleat.

Hand sewn and extravagant, this heading is ideal for formal spaces and anywhere else you feel needs a special touch of luxury.

Similar to double pinch, triple pinch stack back neatly and elegantly.
